Meet The Founder

My name is Dennia Watkins, and I’ve been working with children professionally since 2012—but my journey started long before that.

Even as a child, I had a heart for caregiving. In 5th grade, I was chosen to be a mentor for the kindergarten class at my elementary school. As a child, I was the one watching out for the younger kids. Caring for children has always been a part of who I am.

I noticed that kids always gravitated toward me. At the time, I didn’t understand why—but one day, my grandmother smiled and said,

“Children know. They look at you and they can see the love, the care, and the inner child glowing inside of you.”

She was right. I’ve always felt a special connection with kids—their needs, their emotions, their safety. I became the go-to babysitter for my family, and eventually built my life and work around protecting and empowering children.

Now, as a mom and founder, I’ve channeled that lifelong love into Guard Their Glow—a brand designed to teach children body safety, consent, and confidence through storytelling, comfort, and creative tools.
